Elected officials must always make decisions in the best interest of the citizens they represent. These decisions can only be made at council meetings, in the form of a by-law or a resolution. Outside of council meetings, elected officials cannot make any decisions in the name of the municipality, except for the mayor in the exercise of his or her emergency powers.
The council usually meets once a month, but may do so more often by calling special meetings.
Council meetings are public and are held either at the Municipal hall at 47 de l’Église Street, or at the south at 3199 chemin Milette. Meetings are held on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. from September to June, and on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. in July and August. (Consult the link here below)
